Prokon is a free broker: the cutting is done by our vetted partner, who issues the pro-forma invoice and the invoice to you directly. Prokon takes no commission — it only secures traceability (3.1 certificates and heat numbers are attached to your project automatically).

How to name a DXF for auto-fill?

Name the file by the code and the fields fill in themselves:

Dthickness_Kquantity_Pposition_material_drawing

Example: D10_K2_P3_S355_xxxx.dxf → 10 mm, 2 parts, position 3, S355, drawing xxxx. The drawing is any order/assembly reference (e.g. xxxx or E74931). Without the code, the part defaults to S235 / 10 mm — you then pick the material and thickness on each part.

Drawings (PDF) — optional

A DXF carries only the contour. If a part has chamfers, secondary machining, tolerances or cut-edge requirements, attach the drawing — the supplier gets everything in one package and quotes faster.

Tip: name the drawing after the drawing code used in the DXF (e.g. E74931.pdf) — we link it to the matching parts for you.

What you will receive: a file review, an indicative price range and notes on any limitations; the binding pro-forma invoice and deadline are issued by the partner.

Who cuts: partner production (laser · plasma). We handle everything before and after.

§ 02 / Capabilities

Cutting capabilities.

Laser cutting
  • Parts up to a typical bed of ~2500 × 6000 mm
  • Steel and stainless up to 20 mm (typically up to 8 mm)
  • Aluminium up to 20 mm
  • Non-ferrous metals are not offered — by agreement at studio@prokon.si
  • A clean edge, precise contours and small holes
Plasma and flame cutting
  • Parts up to a typical bed of ~3700 × 15000 mm
  • Steel 1–80 mm · flame cutting up to 250 mm
  • Stainless up to 60 mm · aluminium up to 40 mm
  • For thick plates and large formats
  • 3D tube cuts up to Ø 1200 mm — on agreement

Cutting is done by partner production. The sizes shown are typical for such machines and serve as a guide — the selected partner confirms what is actually feasible. The tool picks the process itself, by material and thickness; anything outside these ranges is flagged as “on agreement” or “not feasible”.
