The same test-piece entry as in the WPQR editor — only the information essential to the program (no administrative formalities).
What the tool derives
You enter the test piece as recorded in the procedure qualification record: process, parent material group to ISO/TR 15608, thickness and diameter, joint type, positions, run technique, heat treatment and the tests required (impact, hardness). The program derives the range of qualification to EN ISO 15614-1:2017: thicknesses and diameters covered, positions, material groups, filler material and technique, with the clause reference next to every line.
The result is a table you can print or save to your organization’s WPQR library; from it, Weldmaster automatically checks in a project which WPQR covers each weld on the drawing.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between level 1 and level 2?
EN ISO 15614-1:2017 defines two levels of qualification. Level 2 requires more tests and gives a wider range, level 1 fewer tests and a narrower range. Before deriving the range the program checks whether the test piece meets the requirements of the chosen level and warns you if anything is missing.
Does the tool cover fillet welds and pipes as well?
Yes. Butt and fillet welds, plates and pipes, single- or double-sided welding, with or without backing. Fillet welds are assessed by their own rules (thickness, throat), pipes by diameter and wall thickness.
Is the tool free?
Yes, without sign-up, printing included. With a free account you save the result to your WPQR library; a subscription unlocks projects where the WPQR links to welds on the drawing, WPS sheets, welders, NDT and the dossier.
